Kampong Cham
A town on a big river - we biked it over to the other side to visit a buddhist-run school, and helped teach with the monks. Random incident: c*** fighting in the temple grounds. The monk we spoke with and helped teach was very friendly - i sat with the 'rood boys' at the back, including a tiny little boy monk who was older than he looked. They were great fun, and enjoyed asking me about my girlfriend - this is one of the main questions kids learn when picking up English, i don't really know why.
We had an exciting bike back - we would have used the bamboo bridge, but it was flooded that day, and there was only one more ferry that night so we pegged it back top speed to avoid being stranded - we just about made it - pretty cool but scary also, balancing on a floating platform in the pitch black across this massive river.
The next day we would bus it to Siem Reap
