Ah Bris-vegas. A city of contrasts. The hostel was not great....a bit of a party place, so not much peace and quiet and not particularly clean-feeling or homely. Still, it was a bed in the right place for the right price.
Made the most of our time here by visiting the South Bank in the city, very pretty with a ´beach´next to the river. PAid a visit out of town to Lone Pine Koala sanctuary on Sharan´s birthday, held a koala - very cute, even if it looks like it was gonna bite my face off for a second (there is a video). Had a night out in the Valley - streets heaving with drunk people, absolutely awful until you become one of them. Drank and danced the night away til the wee hours. Took in the view at Cootha Mountain out of town again, very picturesque. Took in the Brisbane museum, then Queen Street shopping centre.
Didn´t love Brisbane but there is something here for everyone. Moved on to Noosa Heads next.
