Hi guys, so this is the first blog from Emma and Jo in Thailand. We have only just had the time uploading the photos. The flight was 11 hours and very tiring with us travelling over 6,000 miles!!! We had a nightmare finding our hostel the first night as we didnt want to stay in bangkok and got 2 buses out of the city. Ended up getting to our room about 10pm which was kinda scary! Good thing about the natives though that they are very very helpful and friendly. We went out for dinner and ended up bbq'ing our own meats including jellyfish!!
Our first full day in kanchanaburi started with a trip to the museum of the Burma -Thailand Railways which was built by POWs. This was pretty moving and v interesting. We then went to the Tiger Temple which was AMAZING and we got to stroke very big tigers and have our pics taken with them. Last night we went to the night markets in the town and bartered for jewellery and bags shoes etc. We also both had our nails hand painted for less than 2 pounds!!! mental!
