Hello everybody!!
Weve got some great photos to put on, unfortunately the hostel won't let us so you've got that to look forward to!
We left Tairua yesterday morning and headed to a place called matamata, where they do tours to Hobbiton. Hobbiton is the old film set from the lord of the rings (the shire where all the hobbits lived). It was really cool, we were taken on a tour bus for about 15mins into the middle of nowhere. it was really cool because we couldn't see it for ages as it was all hidden in the hills!
We got to go in the little hobbit holes, Bilbo baggins home to be precise, we danced on the party field, hugges the party tree adyou could see for miles!The guy told us lots of cool stories, which was really interesting! There isn't much left from the set, as in the contract it said that it all had to be taken away, but half way through doing it, it rained for about 6months, and then the owner of the land asked to keep it, so they let him!!
Anyway, we then continued our journey to Rororua, which is a thermal hotspot! It stinks!! Because of all the sulhur in the air, smells like eggs everywhere!! Its a lovely little town and when we arrived yesterday we went to the Polynesian spa and went in all the hot pools, no mud to cover ourselves in though!!
Today we had a bit of a lie in before heading to the sky ride place, where they had a luge!it was wicked! the first run we did was about 2km and it was wicked! Frank nearly fell out which was hilarious (don't worry mandy we had helmets on)
The second run was faster but a bit shorter, Frank had learnt by this point to slow down on the corners!
We went to go to a kiwi place (as in the bird not the fruit) however it was a rip off, so we decided to put that off!
It was a lovely day so we wondered around the town, and weve found a supermarketbusier than asda!!!
