Hey, I've had a busy time here in Singapore. I am staying in the heart of Chinatown which is great! Fab markets and the streets are lit by lanterns - it's so colourful and smells of inscense. It took me a while yesterday to get my bearings and work out the transport system.

Last night I made it to the Night safari which was great but to be honest it was a bit scary!! I did enjoy the tram through the park and it was great to see the animals were not enclosed but some of them got a bit too close for comfort for my liking, it was the tiger trail in the dark which made me a bit nervous!!

Today I spent some time at the Botanic gardens it was absolutely stunning so peaceful and relaxing - until the heavens opened and I got drenched! I've also had a wander along the very busy Orchard road. I must admit I felt very out of place in my shorts and vest top popping into shops like versace and Channel. I have never seen shopping malls like the ones here either, I don't know how many times I've lost my way in some of these underground mazes.

I've found the locals really friendly and helpful here so just hope it countinues for my next stop - PERTH!!
