It was a nice leisurely start on Tuesday as we headed back north and
up the east coast for the first time, through the remote Catlin's
wilderness area. En route we stopped off at Curio Bay and right on
cue there was a big sea lion chilling out on the beach and posing for
us!
We made another cool stop at the petrified forest and then had lunch,
realising that we had definately started to take the scenery around NZ
for granted!
After rolling into the Scottish town if Dunedin we did the toursity
thing and battled through burning calves to walk up the worlds
steepest street!
We had spent a lot of time over the past couple of days sat on the bus
and feeling pretty tired so we couldn't be bothered cooking tonight
and so took advantage of half price food at a nice little bar in town,
which for once had a bit of life about it!
It was nice to have a few drinks and we chatted to different people
off our new bus and generally just had a good night, even if it meant
the early get up in the morning wasn't quite so nice!
