Hi thank you for all the messages. We are in Kanchanaburi and absolutly loving it here. Staying on a floating river raft on the River Kwai, can lay in bed and look out the window at the lovely view. Spent the first couple of days chilling out and having our first Thai massage. Graham found a Thai lady walking up and down him quite an experience! Yesterday we visited Erawan National Park and its seven tier waterfall, absolutly stunning. Spent a few hours cooling down in the water and getting nibbled by fish! Next visited Hellfire Pass which is a memorial and example of the work POW's built on the construction of the Thailand to Burma railway during WW2. So that was our history lesson for the next 7 months! After such a tiring day we were ready for an early night until we found the 10baht (18pence!) whisky street bar, local Thai's, other backpackers and us spent the night drinking whisky and whisky! (considering Katie had never had a whisky in her life she did very well, until the headache this morning!) Today we rented bicycles. cycled to the bridge over The River Kwai and then onto a Cave Temple, on the map this all seemed very easy but 10km and 30 degrees later we need another massage! Will be sad to leave K'Buri as it has been the best place so far and so much cheaper and relaxed then Bangkok. Off for dinner now but for everyone who's been worried about Graham's food intake, its ok, he's found banana pancakes - 4 in a couple of days are keeping him going!
