Caught the bus at 9.45am. The bus driver was the one who brought us from Banff to Lake Louise and he remembered us! The journey was about 12 hours including the time difference. It went quite fast and was very empty compared to the others we had been on. The scenary was much better than previously, we drove through mountainous areas most of the way. Made a nice change from Manitoba and Sastatchewan and we both liked how natural it was. There were rivers flowing down the mountains into the lake and driving through the valleys and being on the edge of mountains - at home we wouldn't be trusted to do such things and there would be barriers surrounding the edges! The whole journey, every stop we spent looking for visa cashpoints but to no avail! So when we arrived in Vancouver at 8.30pm we had no dosh to get us to the hostel! We had to beg a taxi driver to take us to a cash point on our way to the hostel! From what we saw of Vancouver at night we liked! Looks a little like Toronto!
We were lucky again with the hostel, managed to have the room to ourselves as noone else was booked in. Also found out that we get free breakfast! WOOP!! We're right in the centre of downtown, complete opposite to Lake Louise!
