We stayed in Williams in the end, you're right, the Canyon is amazing isn't it?! We just stood and looked at it for ages!

Hey there, we have loved our journey so far! We head to Hong Kong on Sunday!
We stayed in Flagstaff, in a days inn, just off route 66, which is about 1hr's drive from the park. The road is a main one the whole way so you wont be held up. The town called Williams is a bit closer I think, and there is another one quite close to the south entrance to the park, but I would imagine that the prices would be high here!
