I've reached the top of Africa having now ridden top to bottom through two continents. Why ? you may ask, as a lot of people do. All I can say is 'Why bloody not ? It has felt like the most 'natural' thing I have done in my adult life as opposed to getting stressed running a business which rarely felt like 'The' reason to be here. The ride up from Kenya to Ethiopia was a slog through volatile country where breaking down was not a good idea…...

Well… Hello again. I am now in Nairobi having fixed the bike with my limited ( but growing ) knowledge of the mechanics of my machine and travelled through Rwanda and Uganda, both bloody marvelous. The mountain gorillas in Rwanda were everything I had hoped for, cute, cuddly and very very BIG. A large male pushed me out of the way to catch up with it's kids ..!!! The adorable though rather unimaginatively named 'Bambi' at The Haven Lodg...

All good..I'm now in Tanzania.I won't write a long boring blog .So,in short I am just off the island of Zanzibar and am waiting for parts from Germany for my bike as my rear shock and swing arm need replacing. It is extremely relaxed here at Mikadi Beach so I'm happy just to chill out and wait for DHL to do their thing..!! Namibia, Zambia and Malawi were a great adventure. Next stops.. Rwanda (mountain gorilla's) , Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia...

Hi everybody, A very happy BIG birthday Michael...!!! I met up with ‘The Wild Dogs’ motor bikers who kindly invited me to a Brai (BBQ)and camp weekend in a great spot up in the hills where pigs and goats were sacrificed for a superb bikers feast, Thanks guys and girls.... Hello Africa.... I’m now in South Africa with bike which arrived in one piece, my helmet however arrived in two pieces after they drove a fork lift truck through it at the airport...!!! South Africa is my favourite country so far.....absolutely perfect in many ways. Superb food and wines, Stunning scenery, great people ,beautiful beaches and some funky animals .
