Hey guys, sorry for the delay again.

Ok so we planned to cross the border from Thailand into Laos on Monday 13th Sept... but we woke up late and missed the early bus. This had a knock on effect because catching the later bus meant we ended up missing the boat to cross the border. So for that night we stayed in a cool "tree house" like guesthouse beside the river. It was really peaceful and relaxing listening to the crickets in the night. But this prompted myself and Lou to wrap ourselves in our mosquito nets for fear of spiders, while Helen was completely at ease with everything.

The next day the guesthouse host drove us to the border crossing where we bought our Laos visas. It was from this point that we met scottish couple... Jen and Gav (whom we travelled with while we were in Laos)

When we eventually crossed the border and made it into Laos! Hooray! All the ports along the Mekong river in Laos are basically steep concrete hills... It was a tough job pulling our bags around! People starting asking me if I was from Laos as well, haha. We hopped aboard the slow boat
